The Grateful Dead are back with another installment of All the Years Live on YouTube. The latest footage is from their legendary show at Orchard Park on July 4th, 1989.
During the show, they played “Walkin’ Blues.” Here is what Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux notes about the performance, “Of the 100 Grateful Dead shows I attended, I’ve always considered July 4, 1989 a Top 3. Both sets were filled with standout, highlight, A+ Grateful Dead performances, and one of the best moments of a great first set was this magnificent Walkin’ Blues. When the Dead were producing Without A Net a year later, this version was given serious consideration for inclusion on that live album.”
Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the footage!
