The Grateful Dead keep delivering the hits on their YouTube channel. The latest installment from All the Years Live YouTube series brings us to Orchard Park on the nation’s independence day, 1989.
This show, which was later memorialized in the Truckin’ Up to Buffalo release, kicked off with a smokin’ “Bertha.” Here is what Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux has to say about the performance, “From its opening notes, we knew this was going to be a show on July 4th. This Bertha finds the Dead in fine form, carrying on the energy they’d ended the previous show in Foxboro.”
Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the footage!
