Watch the Grateful Dead’s Scorchin’ “Uncle John’s Band” from Alpine Valley ’89

Amid grim news about the coronavirus that is coming our hourly, the Grateful Dead have released a little something to soothe the pain—the latest All The Years Live YouTube series.

The latest footage comes from the 1989 summer tour at Alpine Valley. Here is what David Lemieux had to say about this rocking “Uncle John’s Band,” — “From one of the Grateful Dead’s first home videos, Downhill From Here, this version of Uncle John’s Band is a complete scorcher, start-to-end. The opening track from Workingman’s Dead was played more than 330 times by the Dead, and this is one of the best.”

Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the great footage!

Phish returned to Alpine Valley Music Theater for their third and the final night last night. The Sunday show also marked their summer 2019 tour finale.

While night one and two were big on the heavy hitters, Phish delivered bust out after bust out on night three. For those chasing some deep cuts on their list, this show was sure to check at least one off your list.

Phish returned to Alpine Valley Music Theater for the penultimate show of their 2019 summer tour. After a killer night one, all eyes were on the Phish from Vermont to see what they could deliver on night two.

In the second set, Trey, Mike, Page and Fish went deep with a couple of phan phavorites including “Runaway Jim,” “Ghost,” “Golden Age” and “Harry Hood.”
