The String Mountain Revival assembled for two nights at the Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver this past weekend. The string super group includes Larry Keel, Ben Kaufmann & Adam Aijala (Yonder Mountain String Band), Bridget Law & Bonnie Paine (Elephant Revival), Andy Thorn (Leftover Salmon) and Sierra Hull.

Among the tunes they played on Friday night was a rollicking version of the Grateful Dead’s “Shakedown Street.” The extended jam allowed for nearly everyone to have a solo and explore the song. Tucked into the middle was a foot stomping take of the Elephant Revival’s “Rogue River.”
