Relix is treating fans to a special broadcast of The Complete Last Waltz from November 24, 2012 at the Warfield in San Francisco. The star-studded event recreated The Band’s famous last concert which happened on November 25, 1976 in San Francisco.

While there were 38 total musicians that performed over the course of the 41 songs, the core group looked an awful lot like Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and included Joe Russo on drums, Dave Dreiwitz on bass, Marco Benevento on keyboards, and Scott Metzger on guitar.

Warren Haynes and The Last Waltz Band pulled into it’s final station this fall on Saturday night in Nashville, TN. The tour finale includes the all-star line-up plus a slew of guests.

The Bridgestone Arena witnessed a rare appearance from original The Band member Robbie Robertson and countless other guests including Nathaniel Rateliff, Margo Price, Darius Rucker, Michael McDonald, Emmy Lou Harris and Vince Gill.

What a historic evening and a fitting end to a fabulous tribute tour. Taper Z-Man reported that “Who Do You Love,” “Chest Fever,” “Helpless,” “Mystery Train,” “Mannish Boy,” “Evangeline,” “Forever Young,” and “I Shall be Released” were the highlights of the evening.

The Last Waltz Band, featuring Warren Haynes and a list of who’s who in the jam rock scene continued their 12 date tour last week at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, CT.

The Last Waltz Band is Warren Haynes, Don Was, Jamey Johnson, Lukas Nelson, John Medeski, Terence Higgins, Mark Mullins & The Levee Horns with special guests Cyril Neville, Dave Malone and Bob Margolin.

While the setlist was nearly identical to the Red Bank show, the musicians were firing on all cylinders again. And to be honest, with a setlist like this, why do you need to switch it up?

Watch Taz and Robert Randolph Jam on “All Along the Watchtower” with Twiddle in Brooklyn

Twiddle, the Vermont jammers are out on the road, marching their way to Red Rocks at the beginning of May. They landed at Brooklyn NY’s hottest new venue, Brooklyn Steel this past weekend.

For the third set, Twiddle welcomed pedal steel guitar legend Robert Randolph. For the encore, Twiddle added more firepower on guitar with the addition of Brandon ‘Taz’ Niederauer.

Taz, Randolph and Twiddle kicked off the encore with Twiddle’s original “Milk” which smoked. The supergroup then segued into Bob Dylan’s classic “Along Along the Watchtower.”

An absolutely monster line-up was announced for this year’s The Complete Last Waltz. The Last Waltz, was The Band’s farewell concert held on Thanksgiving Day in 1976 at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom. The show has been recreated on a nearly annual basis since 2012.
