Hot on the heels of their All the Years Live YouTube release of “Ripple” from Halloween, 1980 the Grateful Dead are back with a special edition of Shakedown Stream tonight. Tonight’s Shakedown “Stream” is the film release of the Radio City Music Hall run from October of 1980.

Released in 1981, Dead Ahead featured footage from October 30th and October 31st, 1980. The Dead’s seven night run at Radio City Music hall in the fall of 1980 features three sets including one one acoustic and two electric.

The night starts with a bit of shtick with SNL alumni and former US Senator Al Franken introducing the band.
