We’re halfway through another week without live music, but we do have Weir Wednesdays to get us over the hump. This evenings performances is from Spring 2019.

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros stopped at the Fillmore in New Orleans on March 24th of 2019. Weir, along with Jay Lane and Don Was played a pair of beautiful sets for NOLA. Check out the “Smokestack Lightning > Tomorrow Never Knows > Passenger” in the second set.

After a residency at the Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, CA, Bob Weir and Wolf Bros are back on the road this spring. Weir, Jay Lane and Don Was kicked off the tour at The Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, FL.

During the two sets, Weir lead the trio in two terrific sets of Grateful Dead tunes, Weir solo tunes and the Bob Dylan classic “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall.”

Listen to Bob Weir and Wolf Bros’ Exceptional Show in New Orleans – 3-24-2019 AUD

Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros’s tour kept truckin’ last week down to New Orleans. Bobby has just a few more dates with Lane and Was before reuniting with Dead and Company at the end of May.

Bobby’s first set was pretty standard for a Wolf Bros show with plenty of originals and more intimate tunes sandwiched between a big ol’ “Music Never Stopped.”

The second set featured a number of covers including “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Tomorrow Never Knows” and “Smokestack Lightning” in addition to plenty of Dead tunes.

Listen to Bob Weir and Wolf Bros’ Show in Cincinnati – 3/6/2019 AUD

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros made their way from Detroit to Cincinnati earlier this week. Weir’s tour will take him out east before heading back to the midwest later in March.

At the Taft Theater, Weir, Was and Lane played plenty of Weir originals and Grateful Dead tunes. Weir and Wolf Bros also jammed on a far out cover of The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows” that slipped seamlessly into “I Need a Miracle.”

Front Row: Watch Bob Weir and Lukas Nelson’s Rockin’ “Althea” at Slim’s in San Francsico

Bob Weir has had a busy October so far. The Grateful Dead founding member at large has been playing at Terrapin Crossroads with Phil Lesh, paying tribute to Tom Petty at Sweetwater Music Hall and other surprise sit-ins in the bay area.

Lukas Nelson, son of Willie Nelson, and his band Promise of the Real was playing a Hardly Strictly Bluegrass after-show at Slim’s in SF. Bob Weir having played earlier in the day at the festival, made his way to the Lukas Nelson gig for a few songs. Among the songs they played, was a rocking version of the Grateful Dead classic, Althea. Bobby donned the slide and shared vocal responsibilities with Lukas.
