Los Lobos rolled into Washington D.C. for a show at the Hamilton in Washington D.C. This is Los Lobos second appearance at The Hamilton in just the last few months—check out their full show when they were last there in December.
Unfortunately David Hidalgo had an accident before show and did not perform. Despite Hidalgo’s absence, Los Lobos put on a hell of a show.
Matt Andersen, the singer-song writer from Canada, opened the show and joined Los Lobos for the second half of their show.
Los Lobos wasn’t stingy with the covers and busted out blistering versions of two of my all-time favorite songs—Jimi Hendrix’s “Little Wing” (1:05:40) and Neil Young’s “Cortez the Killer” (34:22) among others.
