Trey Anastasio Band brought the heat again in night two of their run at the Capitol Theater. These two shows kick off TAB’s spring tour, so there are plenty of more dates to come.
For the second night, Trey busted out a classic Led Zeppelin cover. Last night, TAB tried it’s hand at one of the greatest songs in Zep’s catalogue, “Black Dog.” The cover came out of the gate hot with Jen Hartswick belting out the opening lyrics and Trey ripping out the iconic “Black Dog” riff, but the real fireworks came towards the end of the cover. Jen came out to the front of the stage and battled Trey to a Plant-Page-esque duel. Hartswick’s soaring vocals challenged Trey to go further and further up the fretboard. What an amazing moment.
