The Grateful Dead have released the latest footage in their All The Years Live YouTube series. The latest installment comes from the Dead’s final run of the year at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium.

The third song in the first set of the first show of the 1983 NYE run was a regular in the Dead repertoire since it debuted in 1973—”They Love Each Other.”

Here is what Grateful Dead archivist, David Lemieux notes about the performance: “One of the few songs in the Dead’s repertoire that underwent a dramatic rearrangement during its lifetime, similar to Friend Of The Devil and Loose Lucy. In 1973, They Love Each Other appeared in a peppy arrangement, with a very cool bridge. It was then dropped, only to return in 1976 in a much slower arrangement, without the bridge. It was recorded for Jerry’s Reflections album.”

Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the footage!
