The Grateful Dead have released the latest footage in their All The Years Live YouTube series. The footage comes from 1974 Winterland on the heels of the Dead releasing the Grateful Dead movie featuring footage from the same 1974 Winterland run.

The footage features the Dead’s “Sugaree” from October 18, 1974. Here is what David Lemieux has to say about the performance: “When we were producing the DVD of The Grateful Dead Movie in 2004, the first unreleased song we transferred to see if we’d be able to include bonus songs was this version of Sugaree. It was selected for a number of reasons: it was excellent; there were several camera angles filmed, and it was short-enough to do a test on. Once the 16mm film was transferred and edited, and then synced with the audio, we realized we’d be able to include plenty of bonus material. This wonderful Sugaree began that process.”

Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the footage!
