The Grateful Dead returned to YouTube last week with another installment of All the Years Live. The latest footage comes from the Dead’s first show at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA.

Here is what Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux has to say about “China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider” second set opener: “From the Grateful Dead’s very first show at Shoreline Amphitheatre, we have this typically hot, energetic China Cat Sunflower / I Know You Rider feature the quintessential 1987 Grateful Dead sound. They’d been scheduled to play Shoreline in the late Summer of 1986, but Jerry’s diabetic coma meant they had to delay their first performance there a year.”

Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the footage!
