It’s good to hear Allman Brothers Music alive and well. This past year we have seen Warren Haynes bust out a massive ABB themed encore at the Peach Festival, or String Cheese Incident doing a full set of Allman Brother Tunes and Tedeschi Trucks Band and Luther Dickinson bust out a monster “Liz Reed” at the Beacon.
While the Allman Brothers Band may be done for in name, their music and members still play on. One of the latest incarnations is Les Brers which is made up of former ABB guitarist Jack Pearson, bassist Oteil Burbridge, drummers Butch Trucks and Jaimoe and percussionist Marc Quinones. The band is rounded out with Pat Bergeson on guitar and Bruce Katz on Keyboard.
Les Brers hit up Brooklyn Bowl last night with a night full of classic ABB tunes. Watch Jack Pearson and the rest of the boys run through “Blue Sky.” After all these years, Jack can still make his guitar sing.
