One of the staples in the festival scene is DelFest. The 12th annual DelFest, hosted by Del McCoury, kicked off the last weekend of May in Cumberland, MD.

Aside from The Del McCoury Band, DelFest boasted a who’s who in the progressive bluegrass scene. From Yonder Mountain String Band to Railroad Earth, DelFest 2019 had over 30 acts, plenty of which collaborated on stage. Billy Strings and Marcus King were among the choice collaborations of the weekend.

During Billy String’s set, Marcus King joined for a pair of tunes including Jackson Browne’s “Running On Empty” which segued into the Allman Brother’s Band classic “Midnight Rider.”

The collaboration between Billy Strings and Marcus King was a prelude of what was to come later in the weekend at Roster Walk. Listen to King and Strings’ Killer Set at Rooster Walk including covers of Phish, Neil Young and the Grateful Dead.

Thanks Mojo Music Philly for the great footage!
