Van Morrison, the legendary 73 year old Irish singer-songwriter is on a few select tour dates with Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival. Van still has the voice of a 23 year old and rocks a fedora like a boss. In addition to the Outlaw Festival gigs, Van is also supporting a new album with a solo tour. His gig last night in Forest Hills, NY outside of NYC was part of his own summer tour.

Van plays music spanning his prolific career during his shows, while most people know him for his early work. Morrison treated Forest Hills to a double-bill off of his iconic ‘Astral Weeks’ album including “Beside You” and “Ballerina.” As you’ll see from the footage, Van’s velvety vocals are better than ever. The tunes turned 50 years old, but definitely have withstood the test of time.

Thanks to btragal for the footage!
