The Grateful Dead returned to YouTube earlier this week with another installment of their All the Years Live YouTube series. The latest footage features “Row Jimmy” from the Shoreline Amphitheater in the fall of 1989.

Here is what Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux noted about the performance, “Famously referred to by Jerry Garcia as one of his favourite songs to play live with the Grateful Dead, Row Jimmy was a steady part of the repertoire from 1973 to 1995, played 276 times by the Dead. Almost exclusively a first set song, this beautiful version comes from the day after the Dead brought back Death Don’t Have No Mercy.”

Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the footage!
