With the pandemic all but extinguishing live music, Jam Buzz has featured a healthy dose of archival concert footage and audio with the occasional live stream. Without checking the last 350 some odd postings, I’m pretty sure today is the first time in the last year a new band is being featured.

The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, or DLO3 is a jazz-funk act out of Seattle that conjures the laid back vibes of Khruangbin with the soul of Soulive. Anchored by Delvon Lamarr on the organ, DLO3 also includes Jimmy James on guitar and Dan Weiss aka Vanilla Weiss on drums.

The trio was featured last month on KEXP’s Live at KEXP at Home YouTube series. Fitting snuggly into what I assume is Delvon’s apartment, the trio cruises through four originals before finishing the set with George Michael’s “Careless Whisper.”
