The Rolling Stones played an historic concert at Hyde Park in London just a couple of days after the death of founding member Brian Jones. As part of Rolling Stones “50 & Counting” tour, they made another appearance at Hyde Park. The show reportedly had 100,000 fans in attendance and sold out it’s initial batch of 65,000 tickets in just three minutes.

The Stones played all their hits at the show, including my personal favorite, “Miss You.” About halfway through the song, Mick leads the sea of fans in singing the chorus while guitarists Kieth Richards and Ronnie Wood stand on stage and soak it all in.

Happy birthday to Ronnie Wood today—he turns 69.

The July 6th and 13th shows were released in a zillion formats. This recording comes from the Rolling Stones YouTube station and is from the DVD release.
