Midwestern funk all-stars, Vulfpeck made their way west for a killer show at the Fillmore in San Francisco. The students of funk invited one of the most iconic funk drummers to sit in with them during the show—Zigaboo Modeliste, founding member of The Meters.

After he is welcomed to the stage, Ziggy sets up on the drums and Vulfpeck huddles up on stage. One of the Vulfpeck members says “Any drummer’s true Bar Mitzvah, is the first time hearing this song” and they do a cheer before breaking into the funk masterpiece “Cissy Strut.” The legendary The Meters song is from 1969 and easily withstands the test of time.
