Dean Ween made a not-so-rare appearance at this past Wednesday’s Invitational at John and Peters with some new material. The Invitational is a a weekly event at the New Hope, PA bar where local musicians sit-in with a house band and jam. Local, Mickey Melchiondo is a regular at the Invitational.

The Deaner had a banner 2016. Aside from the triumphant return of Ween, he released an album and toured with his first solo project, The Dean Ween Group. Dean is a song-writing machine. In addition to the album The Dean Ween Group put out this year, he also has another full album of music written and ready to release.

Speaking of new music, Dean literally wrote this reggae-infused tune last week after hearing someone say the phrase ‘It’s not about the money’ a bunch of times. Hey, inspiration comes from the strangest places sometimes.

The new tune features a catchy chorus and blistering guitar work from Dean and Mike Hampton.

Thanks to noochnooch for the great footage!
