While Dave Matthews Band had a big 2018, in 2017 Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds were in the spotlight for a huge international tour including a massive US leg of the tour. One of the spots in the late spring Dave and Tim played was the Mann Center in Philly.

Among the marathon 28-song setlist in Philly was a rare treat—a cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower.” DMB first released a live recording of Watchtower back on the EP Recently back in 1994. Since then, the Dylan cover has been a DMB fan favorite.

After barreling through the Dylan tune, Dave pauses and soaks up the raucous applause from the crowd. Fast forward to 02:05:20 to hear the song in all it’s glory.
