The Grateful Dead released another All The Years Live YouTube installment yesterday. The latest footage comes from summer tour 1993 in Washington D.C.
Here is what Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux has to say about the “Uncle John’s Band” performance from June 25, 1993: “The period between December 1992 and June 1993 was a late period peak for the Grateful Dead, when they came from their Fall 1992 hiatus with a renewed energy and focus. At the end of the Summer Tour of 1993, the Dead hit RFK Stadium for two excellent nights, featuring Bruce Hornsby sitting in on accordion. This Workingman’s Dead classic was played 23 years after its studio debut, released in June 1970.”
Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the footage!
