Watch Widespread Panic Cover “Hallelujah” at Red Rocks

Widespread Panic returned to YouTube with more footage from their archive. WSP recently posted footage from Red Rocks back from their 2016 stop their. They dipped back into the well again and shared more footage from that show.

This time John Bell and the gang shared a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” followed by “Postcard” and “Porch Song.”

Watch Widespread Panic Jam on Traffic’s “The Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys” at Red Rocks

Widespread Panic returned to YouTube with more fantastic archival footage last week. The latest footage is from WSP’s Red Rocks show back on June 26th, 2016.

The clip starts off with a heavy jam into a cover of David Earle Johnson’s “Time is Free” before sliding into Traffic’s classic “The Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys.” The clip finally ended with the WSP original “Love Tractor.” In addition to the fantastic pro-footage of the band, the videographers also got some good footage of the crowd that will make you yearn for a hot and sweaty summer show!

Listen to Mike Gordon and Al Schnier Join Gov’t Mule at Red Rocks in 2005 – 7/1/2005 AUD

What sounds better than a Red Rocks jam fest in July right about now? Taper Fatah Ruark has been sharing shows from his archive on YouTube and luckily one of his latest selections is from Gov’t Mule’s star-studded show back on July 1, 2005.

Joining the bill at the Mule’s stop at the legendary Red Rocks in 2005 was moe., Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon and Xavier Rudd. As you do at Red Rocks, Warren invited nearly every other artist that played before them to the stage to jam including Mike Gordon, Al Schnier from moe. and Xavier Rudd. The show featured raging originals like “Thorazine Shuffle” and some Dead covers (among others) like “Loser” and “Terrapin Station.”

Watch Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Monster Show From Red Rocks – 7/26/2019 Video

With COVID-19 closing concert venues and eliminating gatherings of groups of 10 or more people, a Tedeschi Trucks Band show is not going to happen anytime soon. Luckily TTB has teamed up with nugs.net for Swamp Family TV. The series will “share as much music from TTB (and some from our friends, family and extended musical network) as your eyes and ears can handle.”

Tedeschi Trucks Band and the Wheels of Soul summer stop at Red Rocks last year is the first concert featured in the series. The show features a rocking set with awesome covers and a good collection of guests including Charlie Starr and the rest of Blackberry Smoke.

Watch David Crosby and Jason Isbell Jam on “Wooden Ships” at Red Rocks

David Crosby, founding member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, is still going strong despite the odds. The legendary singer songwriter has experienced a creative renaissance in recent years and has recorded a prolific amount of music. Along with this new music, has come a steady schedule of touring to support the new material.

This fall, David Crosby found his way to the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO to open for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Crosby treated Red Rocks to a trip down memory lane with some of the best of his early songs. Towards the end of David’s set, Jason Isbell came out to jam with Crosby on CSNY’s classic tune “Wooden Ships.” Isbell absolutely sets Red Rocks ablaze with his incendiary solo. Bookending the tune are Crosby’s impossibly angelic vocals that defy his age and history.
