Watch Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams’ Sultry “Death Don’t Have No Mercy” in NYC

Husband and wife, Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams have a few dates on the East Coast in March before heading down with Little Feat to Jamaica for Ramble on the Island.

Last night, Larry and Teresa stopped at the City Winery in NYC for an intimate performance. Guitarist David Bromberg joined the duo for a soaring, nitty-gritty and sultry version of “Death Don’t Have No Mercy.” The tune was written and released by Rev Gary Davis in 1960 before the Grateful Dead popularized it during their live performances in the late 60s.

Watch Leslie Mendelson Join Anders Osborn for a Gorgeous “Friend of the Devil” in NYC

Anders Osborne stopped at City Winery in NYC for an intimate acoustic gig on his summer tour. A couple of Osborne’s future gigs this summer are shared with some heavy hitters like Jackie Greene. Last night’s gig had a couple of unannounced guests including Leslie Mendelson and Ron Johnson.

Anders welcomed Leslie out for what appeared to be an impromptu collaboration. In the video you can hear Leslie and Anders discuss how they are going to approach the song before launching into a gorgeous version of the Grateful Dead’s “Friend of the Devil.”

Watch Los Lobos Cover “Cortez The Killer” in Chicago

Rock and Roll HOFers Los Lobos have been rocking for nearly 15 years. Among the originals they perform in their shows, the East Los Angeles band also busts out some killer covers.

In their recent gig at City Winery in Chicago, Los Lobos covered a personal favorite, “Cortez the Killer.” The epic Neil Young track is nearly as old as Los Lobos, being released in 1975.

Watch Jackie Greene and Anders Osborne’s Acoustic “Deal,” “Fire on the Mountain” in NYC

Jackie Greene and Anders Osborne continued their Tourgether acoustic tour last night at the City Winery in NYC. A few nights ago Jackie and Anders honored Tom Petty in Rhode Island. The reprised the tribute at City Winery with Petty’s “Breakdown.”

In addition to the Petty tribute, Greene and Osborne played plenty of their own material intertwined with classic Grateful Dead tunes. The Dead covers included “Deal,” “Fire on the Mountain” and a Jackie Greene favorite “New Speedway Boogie.”

Pro-footage: Watch Holly Bowling’s Sublime “Unbroken Chain” Show Opener at City Winery in Chicago

Holly Bowling is in the middle of a massive midwest and east coast tour. One of the highlights of the tour so far was Holly’s Umphrey’s McGee after-show with a surprise sit-in from UM keyboardist Joel Cummins.

On Thursday night, Holly was in Chicago at the City Winery. As she usually does, Bowling had the cameras rolling including a great GoPro view of the keys. She kicked off the show with this gorgeous reimagination of the Grateful Dead’s “Unbroken Chain.”

Holly was recognized as the Bust-out Act of the Year from last year in the 2016 Jam Buzzers.
