After a successful night one in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, Gov’t Mule had to postpone night two due to weather. Even with the postponement, the Mule still had to contend with heavy rain during their rescheduled set.

Captain Ron Holloway joined Mule for nearly half the show. Warren and the band trotted out debuts from their new album Heavy Load Blues like “Street Corner Blues,” and mixed in old Mule classics and covers like “The Joker.”

After kicking off their three-night run to a capacity crowd at the newly christened Westville Music Bowl on Friday, Gov’t Mule returned for the second night of the run last night.

The Mule brought the goods for the second night in a row and treated New Haven, CT to covers of Radiohead’s “Creep” and the Grateful Dead’s “The Other One” among others.

Listen to Gov’t Mule Bust Out Zeppelin’s “Since I’ve Been Loving You” in Frankfurt – 6/6/2019 AUD

Gov’t Mule is putting the finishing touches on a European tour that spanned nearly a dozen different cities. Earlier this week, the Mule rolled into Frankfurt, Germany for a show at the Batschkapp.

Warren and company treated Frankfurt to some good ol’ fashion Mule with classics like “Blind Man in the Dark,” “Gameface” and “Temporary Saint.” In the second set, Warren took the lead on Led Zeppelin’s classic “Since I’ve Been Loving You.”

Listen to Gov’t Mule & Spouses Treat Ventura to Some Beatles – 9/23/2017 Full Show AUD

Gov’t Mule’s fall tour is in full swing as they are crushing the West Coast. Last weekend Gov’t Mule and some very special guests hit the Ventura Theater in Ventura, CA. Wives of keyboardist Danny Louis and bassist Jorgen Carlsson, Machan Taylor & Mini Carlsson were in attendance and joined their husbands and the rest of the Mule for the encore.

Mule played a rockin’ show in Ventura. In addition to classic Mule tracks like “Temporary Saint” and “Unblow Your Horn,” Warren and company played tracks off their new album including “Stone Cold Rage,” “Dreams and Songs,” and “Revolution Come, Revolution Go.” Mule played plenty of covers as well including Tower of Power’s “What is Hip?,” Howlin’ Wolf’s “Smokestack Lightning” and Jeff Beck’s “Freeway Jam.”

Mule also busted out a pair of Beatles’ songs including “And Your Bird Can Sing” and “With a Little Help From My Friends” with the help of Machan Taylor & Mini Carlsson on vocals.

Listen to Gov’t Mule’s Debut of “Pressure Under Fire” and “Whipping Post” Encore in Germany – 6/12/2017 Full Show AUD

Gov’t Mule is in the midst of a European tour and a massive summer tour. The Mule is out on the road supporting their new album that came out last week, Revolution Come…Revolution Go.

Their stop in Dortmund, Germany at FZW included plenty of new tunes off the new record including “Stone Cold Rage,” “Revolution Come, Revolution Go” and one of my favorite tunes off of the album, the brooding cover of Blind Willie Johnson’s “Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground.” Mule also busted out the concert debut of “Pressure Under Fire” from the new album.

Dortmund was treated to plenty of vintage Mule tunes as well like “Temporary Saint,” “Broke Down on the Brazos,” and “Thorazine Shuffle.”

With the passing of Allman Brother co-founding member Gregg Allman and former bandmate, Warren Haynes has been liberal with the ABB covers. Warren and Mule paid tribute to Gregg with a 12-minute “Whipping Post” encore.
