Joe Russo’s Almost Dead followed up their phenomenal show at LOCKN’ with another barn-burner at Red Rocks. For the entire show, Stuart Bogie joined JRAD on the saxophone, clarinet, and flute.
In the first set, JRAD kicked off the set with a jam and then jumped into The Beatles’ “Why Don’t We Do It in the Road?” Later in the set, Russo and his band teased Phish’s “First Tube” before diving into “Terrapin Station.”
For the encore, JRAD honored their friend Neal Casal who passed just a few days ago. Joe Russo actually jammed with Casal and Circles Around the Sun at LOCKN’ night one.
