Phish is readying a massive official release in December titled “The Gorge ‘98”—a 5 disc box set featuring the shows from July 16 and 17 in 1998 at the legendary Gorge Amphitheater.

Ahead of the release, Phish shared “Tube > Salve to The Traffic Light” which the P-fish played deep into the second set of the first night featured on the release.

Watch Phish’s “Slave to the Traffic Light” Live at the Ninth Cube on New Year’s Eve

While Phish canceled their annual four night New Year’s Eve run at Madison Square Garden for a second year in a row, they didn’t leave fans high and dry. The Phish from Vermont announced a free three-set stream from a mysterious venue called the Ninth Cube which ended up being in Lititz, PA.

The crowd-less show featured Phish hitting the peaks of some of their greatest tunes including a first set “Slave to the Traffic Light.” While the stream didn’t make it past January 1, Phish has started to release some highlights from the evening.

Phish has returned with their second installment of a special Thanksgiving edition of Dinner and a Movie. Last night, Phish treated fans to a stream of the first three sets of Phish’s first festival—The Clifford Ball.

Tonight, Phish is bringing the heat again with the second three sets from the festival. These three sets include some incredible jams on your favorite Phish tunes, “Reba,” “The Lizards,” “Fluffhead,” and many more.

SET 1: The Old Home Place, Punch You in the Eye, Reba[1] > Cars Trucks Buses, The Lizards, Sample in a Jar, Taste, Fee[2] -> Maze, Suzy Greenberg

Listen to Phish Return to the Stage for their First Show in Arkansas – 7/28/2021 AUD

After an unbearably long hiatus from touring due to COVID, Phish returned to the stage for the first time in 521 days. While the band has been gracious with Dinner and Movie nights, a new album and performances from Trey abound, nothing beats the real deal.

Speaking of Trey’s prodigious pandemic output, Phish started the first set with debuting one of Trey’s quarantine tunes “I Never Needed You Like This Before.” This tour opener in Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion marked the bands debut in Arkansas as well.

Watch Trey Anastasio Cover “Slave to the Traffic Light” at the Beacon Jams Finale

As noted in the last two posts, Trey Anastasio ended his 8 week residency at the Beacon Theater this past Friday. Trey’s YouTube channel already released “Pebbles and Marbles,” as well as “Carnini” from the finale.

Today, Trey released one more tune from the final night—”Slave to the Traffic Light.” Slave filled the penultimate slot of the show before the “Tube” closer and then a “March Party” to end the evening featuring a dance troupe getting down in the lobby of the Beacon. This truly was a run for the ages and an unforgettable series of performances for an unforgettable year.
