Les Claypool is back on the road this summer and has reunited one of his many acts from the past—the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade. After 20 years, the band is taking the US by storm this summer. Earlier this week Claypool’s Brigade pulled into Buffalo, NY.

In addition to some original tunes, LCFFFB is also covering the classic Pink Floyd album Animals in it’s entirety.

Watch Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade Cover Pink Floyd’s “Pigs” in Napa

Les Claypool has reunited one of his more interesting outfits for a tour this spring and summer—Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade. One of the most popular sets they did years ago was covering Pink Floyd’s iconic Animals album. Every night on the tour, they are reprising the cover of the entire album.

Check out their cover of “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” in Napa, CA at the Meritage Resort.

Watch Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Crush Floyd’s “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” in Stroudsburg

The fun loving funk/jam/rock/electronic band Pigeons Playing Ping Pong are on the road this spring working through a midwest and northeast tour.

During their stop in Stroudsburg, PA PPPP busted out a massive cover of Pink Floyd’s “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” from their Animals album.

First Listen: Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade Plays Pink Floyd’s “Animals” in it’s Entirety – 8/25/2000 AUD

Les Claypool, one of the most unique and talented bassists of the generation, has had many projects and bands aside from Primus. During the summer of 2000, Claypool launched one of his most adventurous projects—Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade. LCFFFB released a couple of live albums and a studio album during their tenure.

In addition to original material, LCFFFB also was a big fan of Pink Floyd, specifically the album Animals. During their maiden tour in summer of 2000, they played a live set of the classic Pink Floyd album in it’s entirety. Claypool’s brooding and dominating bass lines give the songs an entirely new feel.

In addition to Animals, Claypool also jammed on “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” in the first set and the Beatles’ “Taxman” for the encore.

According to Steve Hagar and Terry Watts who recording and mastered the show, a woman who had passed out drink was brought up to the stage during “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” and they had to stop the show for 10 minutes. As they say, here is the recording, warts and all. A huge thanks to Steve and Terry for circulating this new source!

Watch Highlights From Roger Waters’ Two Spectacular Nights in Boston

Roger Waters played his last two gigs of 2017 in the US before heading up North to a pretty extensive Canadian tour. His final top in the states was Boston for a pair of gigs at the TD Garden. After Canada, Roger hits Australia in early 2018 and then on to Europe for a massive spring and summer 2018 tour. Point being, this is the last time Waters will be in the states for quite some time.

Aside from Roger Waters’ political messages that are as strong if not stronger than his music, the audio and visual experience that Roger produces is something to behold. Roger’s website describes it as:

“Roger Waters’ legendary live performances are renowned as immersive sensory experiences featuring high class, state-of- the-art audio visual production and breathtaking quad sound.”

Luckily for us, Jamey Klein was in attendance and got tons of great footage from both nights! Jamey’s thoughts on the two nights — “Needless to say, Roger made quite a statement as only he can – and it was spectacular!! Like nothing I’ve ever seen before….”
