Watch Mikaela Davis’ Gorgeous Grateful Dead Set at Relix Studios

Relix treated YouTube subscribers to a beautiful set of Dead music earlier this week. Harpist Mikaela Davis and Southern Star stopped by the Relix studios to perform a delicate yet powerful suite of Dead songs.

The set included “Mountains of the Moon”, “Dark Star”, “Wharf Rat”, and “St. Stephen.”

Watch Phil Lesh and the Q Jam at Warren’s Christmas Jam – 12/13/2013 Video

With December nearly half over, Warren Haynes’ annual Christmas Jam would probably have been this weekend. While the Asheville Civic center won’t be hosting an epic jam this week, our friends at Couch Tour Captures have shared a great set from Phil Lesh and Friends at Warren’s Christmas Jam back in 2013.

Phil’s line-up for the XMAS jam was the almighty Q. Referred to as the Q, this particiular iteration of Phil Lesh and Friends included Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, Rob Barraco, and John Molo.

Watch Trey Anastasio Join Phil Lesh For Epic Show at Warfield – 4/16/1999 Video

Phil Lesh and his ever changing cast of Friends has been the one constant since Jerry Garcia passed in 1995. Regardless of the line-up, we can count of Phil and Friends to deliver a pair of outstanding Dead sets with some classic rock covers.

In 1999, Phish frontman Trey Anastasio hooked up with Phil for three nights at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco. These three nights culminated in one of the best Phish and Dead crossover moments in history. In addition to Trey Anastasio, the rest of the Friends line-up included Steve Kimock on guitar, Phish member Page McConnell on keyboards, John Molo on drums and Donna Jean Godchaux on vocals for a handful of tunes.

The second night of the run started off with a blazing “Help on the Way > Slipknot > Franklin’s Tower” and never looked back. Trey and Steve Kimock’s guitar chemistry is undeniable.

Listen to Phil Lesh’s Early and Late Sets at the Oregon Country Fair – 7/12/2019 AUD

The Oregon Country Fair celebrated it’s 50th anniversary earlier this month. The fair took place in Veneta, Oregon—the home to one of the greatest Grateful Dead shows of all time.

Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family Band were one of the headlining acts on Friday night at the Fair, playing right Jim James. The first set was open to the general public, while the second set was after the fair closed and was reserved for the staff of the fair grounds only.

Phil and the Family sprinkled some tasty covers over the two sets including “Like a Rolling Stone” and “Whole Lotta Love” and a whole lotta Grateful Dead.

Listen to Phil Lesh and Friends Return to Mountain Jam – 6/15/2019 AUD

Phil Lesh and Friends, a late addition to Mountain Jam, represented Mountain Jam’s commitment to return to the jam after a couple of years of a different direction. Phil, Graham and the rest of the phriends played their set on Saturday afternoon before Mule’s Woodstock tribute.

Among many Dead classics like “St. Stephen” and “Uncle John’s Band,” Lesh treated Mountain Jam to some covers including The Band’s “Chest Fever” and Larry Campbell’s “Midnight Highway.”
