Bluegrass legend in the making, Billy Strings has amazed fans with his incredible guitar prowess and command of the bluegrass genre. In addition to bring bluegrass to a new generation of live music fans, he has also reinterpreted dozens of classic rock tunes in his own style.

Billy’s Dead covers (and his playing with the Grateful Dead family) have become part of his legend, but you may not have heard his take on other classic rock tunes. I recently came across a treasure trove of great covers including this killer electric version of James Gang’s “Funk #49” at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA back in March of 2019.
