Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish tribute band Pink Talking Fish, just wrapped up a two night run in Portland, Maine at the aptly named Portland House of Music and Events. Despite their name, Pink Talking Fish has been working in some other material into their show like Grateful Dead tunes.

The first night of the run was a memorable show not only because Pink Talking Fish was on fire, but also because fans Ted and Nikki got engaged during “Waste” in the first set.

PTF closed the night with a great mashup of Grateful Dead’s “Tennessee Jed” and Phish’s “Ocelot” in the encore slot. PTF has a way of weaving tunes from Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish (and Grateful Dead) seamlessly and “Jed > Ocelot” is a perfect example of that skill. PTF adds a “Bathtub Gin” outro to finish out the show for good measure.

The encore is great, but the whole show is really worth a listen.
