My Morning Jacket, 2016 Jam Buzzer recipient of show of the year, set up shop in Broomfield, Colorado at the 1st Bank Center for their New Year’s Eve run.

All three shows lived up to their expectations and featured career spanning sets with plenty of juicy covers. Night two featured this absolutely monstrous set-ending cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain.” The 10+ minute homage to the late rock icon features a blistering solo from MMJ guitarist Carl Broemel that ends in a cloud of distortion as MMJ left the stage.
