Davy Knowles, known for his power trio Backdoor Slam, is on the road with the Davy Knowles Band these days. Davy and his band hit up the Vista Room At Napoleons in Decatur, Georgia a few weeks back for a killer night of blues.

Davy ended the 20+ song set with an encore of the classic Neil Young tune, “Cortez the Killer.” Being able to jam on Cortez is a right of passive for modern blues slingers. Knowles does the song justice with fiery guitar solos and a haunting vocal outro.

Thanks to Z-man for the recording!
