The Grateful Dead released the latest archival footage in their All the Years Live YouTube series. The footage features the Dead on summer tour 1989 in Orchard Park.
Jerry and the Dead played a rockin’ version of “Cold Rain and Snow” was played early in the first set on July 4th, 1989.
Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux shared these notes with the footage: “One of the most consistently played songs in the Dead’s repertoire 1966-1995, Cold Rain and Snow was quite commonly a show-opener, but also appeared in various places throughout first sets, and occasionally second sets. This one, from the magnificent Buffalo 89 show, was the third song of the first set, on a hot, humid, and later rainy night in Western New York.”
Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the footage!
