One of my favorite singer songwriters, Ben Harper has released the first single off his upcoming album Winter Is for Lovers. Harper has traveled his newest record alone and created an album entirely of solo instrumentals on his Monteleone lap steel guitar.

The single Harper shared is titled “Inland Empire.” The stripped down and intimate tune is anything but simple. Here is what Harper said about the album full of intricate instrumentals, “To record an entire album with one guitar and no words, where every single nuance was under a microscope, was more demanding than any record I have made to date, and also more rewarding. “

Thanks to Ben Harper and ANTI- Records for this beautiful tune (and 14 more in the future)!
