The musical Hamilton has been the smash hit of the year mainly because of creator and performer, Lin-Manuel Miranda. Miranda actually visited the White House 6 years ago and pitched his crazy idea about a “concept album based on the life of I someone I think embodies hip hop: Treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton.”

Watch Miranda join President Obama in the White House Rose Garden for a freestyle rap based on cards that Obama reveals to Miranda. Love or hate his politics, only President Obama could pull off something like this. I love how he starts out the clip by saying, “this is serious business.”
