Dean Ween (Mickey Melchiondo), co-founding member of Ween, finished his tour with his partner in crime Gene Ween (Aaron Freeman) earlier in November. After a couple of weeks off the road, the Deaner got restless and rustled up a group of friends to jam with him at The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ.

Dean’s line-up at The Saint included Bill Fowler on vocals and guitar, Dave Dreiwitz (Ween and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead) on bass, Glenn McClelland on keyboard, and Claude Coleman Jr. on drums.

Among the tunes that the Deaner and his buddies jammed on was the Grateful Dead classic “Fire on the Mountain.” Both Dean and Fowler had fantastic solos during the 10+ minute Dead jam.
