Sweedish-born, American songwriter Anders Osborne played a pair of shows last June at The Hall at MP in Brooklyn. His soul-infused brand of blues lends it self to fuzzy, hard-rockin’ Neil Young style electric songs as well as stripped down acoustic, foot-stompers. These two nights in BK were dubbed “Anders Osborne Almost Acoustic Band” and featured Anders Osborne (guitars, vocals), Carl Dufrene (bass, vocals), Eric McFadden (guitar) and Brady Blade (drums.) Opener Cris Jacobs sat in with Anders for the last tune of his set, “Ya Ya.”
“Ya Ya” is from Anders’ 1999 album Living Room. The tune has a feel-good reggae bounce too it and is a fan-favorite. Anders and Cris let loose for an extended 9 minute jam that features some shenanigans and laughs towards the end.
