Watch Robert Randolph Join Allman Betts Band for “The March” in Silver Springs

The Allman Family Revival’s 19 day tour rolled into Silver Springs, MD earlier this week. The Allman Betts Band fronted tour played the Fillmore with a variety of guests and supporting musicians.

Steel pedal guitar master Robert Randolph sat in with Allman Betts Band and took the lead on his own tune, “The March.” Eric Gales and Ron Holloway among other guests joined Randolph on the sit-in.

We’re halfway through another week without live music, but we do have Weir Wednesdays to get us over the hump. This evenings performances is from Spring 2019.

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros stopped at the Fillmore in New Orleans on March 24th of 2019. Weir, along with Jay Lane and Don Was played a pair of beautiful sets for NOLA. Check out the “Smokestack Lightning > Tomorrow Never Knows > Passenger” in the second set.

Devon Allman hosted the third annual Allman Family Revival in San Francisco last weekend. The family affair included a who’s who from the Allman Brothers extended family and took place the day before what would have been Gregg Allman’s 72nd birthday.

The Allman Family Revival extended the love to three cities this year. The all-star cast landed in SF at The Fillmore on the 7th, then on to Denver on the 8th and will head to the Beacon in NYC on December 28th.

Among the setlist that the Allman Betts Band and company played, was a blazing “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” featuring Eric Krasno, Luther and Cody Dickinson.

Listen to Bob Weir and Wolf Bros’ Exceptional Show in New Orleans – 3-24-2019 AUD

Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros’s tour kept truckin’ last week down to New Orleans. Bobby has just a few more dates with Lane and Was before reuniting with Dead and Company at the end of May.

Bobby’s first set was pretty standard for a Wolf Bros show with plenty of originals and more intimate tunes sandwiched between a big ol’ “Music Never Stopped.”

The second set featured a number of covers including “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Tomorrow Never Knows” and “Smokestack Lightning” in addition to plenty of Dead tunes.

Watch Page McConnell and Bob Weir Jam on “Scarlet Begonias” in Miami

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros’ second tour has just a handful of dates left. Last night, Bob and the Bros landed in Miami at The Fillmore.

Last night’s second set started with a rare guest appearance. Phish’s keyboardist, Page McConnell came out to jam on the first two tunes of the set with Weir, Lane and Was. The first song of the set was “Hell in a Bucket” and the second was an extended jam on “Scarlet Begonias” featuring lots of Page on the Keys.
