Yesterday marked the fourth year anniversary of Beastie Boys’ member Adam “MCA” Yauch passing. The Roots hit the Mountain Jam stage back in 2012 and honored one of the founding fathers of modern day hip hop.

The Roots are easily one of the best bands in the business today. Watch their upbeat take on the Beastie Boy classic “Paul Revere.”

Some of you may hear a Led Zeppelin tease during the cover, while others will here a nod to another Beastie Boys’ classic from License to Ill, “She’s Crafty.” Well, you’re both right—”She’s Crafty” samples “Ocean” from Zep.
