Phish put the finishing touches on their excellent summer tour with a four-night run at Dick’s in Commerce City, CO this past Labor Day Weekend.
On the second night, phans encountered a thunderstorm at show-time. Phish could have canceled the show outright, but waited the storm out and came on later that evening for a fantastic mega-set. Sandwiched in the middle of the set was a yummy “Tweezer > What’s the Use.”

Phish’s fall tour was full speed ahead this past weekend on the West Coast. The P-fish pulled into The Forum in Inglewood, CA on Sunday night.
After a Lonely Trip album tune, Phish treated Inglewood to an early “You Enjoy Myself” and proceeded to drop jaws with an incredible first set that included “Moma Dance,” “Simple,” “Maze,” “Run Like An Antelope” and more.

The second set was a bonafide “Tweezer” set with Phish threading the classic jam from its appearance in the two-slot to the set ending “Tweezer Reprise.” Another highlight of the second set was the Doors’ cover of “L.A. Woman” tucked into “Say It To Me S.A.N.T.O.S.”

Trey Anastasio returned to SPAC for night two of three on Saturday. As on the first night, Trey was joined by the Rescue Squad Strings.
In addition to the string accompaniment, Anastasio was also joined by a very special guest. Towards the end of the second set, Trey casually welcomed Phish keyboardist Page McConnell to the stage and SPAC went wild.
Page lent his talents to the last few songs of the evening.

One of the most anticipated weekends of the year for Phish fans is Labor Day and their annual three-night run at Dicks Sporting Park in Commerce Park outside of Denver, CO.
This year’s festivities were nearly sidelined by prairie dogs with the plague in the neighboring Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. While the shows went off without a hitch, camping and vending was canceled. The Phish community didn’t let this obscurity become a footnote, rather plague prairie dog memes and merch have flourished. Phish even got in on the action and kicked off night three with “Stray Dog” but changed the lyrics to “Plague Dog.”
Over the three nights, Phish shared rarities, deep jams, classic tunes, new Kasvot Vaxt and Ghosts of the Forest tunes. They made us laugh, cry and everything in between.

TAUK is on the road with a rotating cast of characters this Spring including Disco Biscuits, Lettuce and nearly half a dozen other bands. Last week, TAUK and Big Something funked Chicago’s Concord Music Hall’s hard.
After Big Something’s opening set, TAUK threw down two funky sets of originals and covers. Among the covers were Allman Brothers Band’s “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed,” Mac Miller’s “What’s the Use,” Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer” and Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer.” Configurations of Big Something’s band members lent their support on each of the covers over the two sets.
TAUK showcased their versatility through the lens of these covers. There are few bands on the road that could weave classic rock, rap, industrial rock and an 80’s hit seamlessly into their setlist.
