The Grateful Dead are back with another installment of All the Years Live on YouTube. The latest footage takes us back to the spring of ’93 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA.
Towards the end of their first set, Jerry lead the charge into one of the Dead’s late career classics—”West L.A. Fadeaway.” Here is what Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux notes about the performance—”Debuting in August 1982, ‘West LA Fadeaway’ was one of the defining ‘new’ Dead songs of the 1980s, and was a standout on their penultimate studio album in 1987. It was always a highlight of the Dead’s first sets during its tenure in the repertoire.”
Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the great footage!
