Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Wheels of Soul tour has left the station and is full steam ahead. The tour has 19 dates and started last week in the band’s hometown of Jacksonville, FL and ends with a pair of shows in Morrison, CO. TTB has enlisted the Drive-By Truckers and Marcus King Band for support.
If these early shows are any indication, Wheels of Soul 2018 is going to be a helluva tour! The Wheels of Soul tour last stop was at the legendary SPAC in Saratoga Springs, NY. In addition to Marcus King Band and Drive-By Truckers, SPAC was treated to another couple of special guests.
Patterson Hood from Drive-By Truckers was the first guest to join TTB. A little past the halfway mark of the set, Patterson joined in on “Let Me Roll It.”
Towards the end of TTB’s set, Marcus King was welcomed to the stage for blazing rendition of “Key to the Highway.” For the encore, London Souls’ guitarist Tash Neal and Soulive frontman Eric Krasno joined Tedeschi Trucks Band for the Allman Brothers Band’s “Statesboro Blues.”
