YouTuber RexAVision just repaired some damaged hard drives and unearthed the remaining footage from Oteil Burbridge’s performance at the inaugural Suwannee Rising back in 2019.

This show is noteworthy not only because of the stacked line-up and killer setlist, but also because it was one of Neal Casal’s final performances before passing later that summer. Joining Oteil and Neal were John Kimock, Jeff Chimenti, Scott Metzger, and Lamar Williams Jr.

Relix is treating fans to a special broadcast of The Complete Last Waltz from November 24, 2012 at the Warfield in San Francisco. The star-studded event recreated The Band’s famous last concert which happened on November 25, 1976 in San Francisco.

While there were 38 total musicians that performed over the course of the 41 songs, the core group looked an awful lot like Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and included Joe Russo on drums, Dave Dreiwitz on bass, Marco Benevento on keyboards, and Scott Metzger on guitar.

Listen to Voodoo Dead Shakedown the Capitol Theatre – 2/6/2020 AUD

A day after bringing their jazzy renditions of Grateful Dead classics to the Ardmore, Steve Kimock and his all-star crew known as Voodoo Dead headed up north to the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.

At the Cap, Kimock was joined by George Porter Jr on bass, Al Schnier on guitar, Jeff Chimenti on keys, John Morgan Kimock and Wally Ingram on drums.

The set was short in numbers, but long on the jams. Check out the opening 18-minute “Shakedown Street.” Towards the end of the show, Kimock and Schnier recreated the legendary “After Midnight > Eleanor Rigby > After Midnight” Jerry Garcia Band jam.

Some of the Voodoo crew including Steve Kimock, George Porter Jr., Jeff Chimenti and John Kimock are headed for a run in Japan starting tomorrow.
