2017 is shaping up to be a good year from Crowes fans. Even though the Crowes haven’t formally toured in a few years, their members are keeping busy and more importantly, keeping the music alive. Chris Robinson Brotherhood has already toured and will continue to do so this year and Rich Robinson reunited with Marc Ford and others to form Magpie Salute which has another gig coming up in April.
Just two nights ago, Rich Robinson and Marc Ford hit up an intimate venue for an extraordinary acoustic gig. The two Crowes guitarists are equally as skilled on the acoustic guitars as they are on electric.
The duo ran through Black Crowes songs, Rich Robinson originals, Marc Ford originals and covers with plenty of banter and tuning in between songs.
The quiet and respectful audience made for an exceptional recording! Thanks to Dan J. (ijwthstd) and Dennis Orr for the recording and mastering.
