After 14 months, Gov’t Mule has returned to the stage ending their pandemic concert drought. Last night Warren and the Mule kicked off a three night run at the new Westville Music Bowl at New Haven, CT. The Mule’s first show of the run marked the inaugural concert at the converted tennis stadium.
If Gov’t Mule was rusty, it definitely did not show. Kicking off with the classic Mule opener “Lay Your Burden Down,” Uncle Warren lead the Mule through a vintage Mule show. From all accounts, the venue’s sound was superb and the Westville Music Bowl has a bright future ahead of it.
