John Kadlecik, best known as founding member of Dark Star Orchestra, Further guitarist, and founding member of Golden Gate Wingmen among many other projects, gathered a group of friends for a three night Thanksgiving run at Gypsy Sally’s in Washington D.C.
The line-up including Jay Lane who traveled from Bob Weir and Wolf Bros’ last show at the Beacon in NYC to hold down the drums. In addition to Jay, John was joined by Robin Sylvester on bass, Benjie Porecki on keys, Jess Lake on vocals and Mary Lankford on vocals.
This show on the 23rd, the second night of the three night run, just happened to coincide with the release of Kadlecik’s new album, On the Road. The new album contains originals and a couple of dead tunes including “Lazy River Road” and “So Many Roads.”
Kadlecik and his crew shared new material from On the Road as well as plenty of Dead and JGB material.
