Jerry Garcia’s estate is busy promoting the last Garcia archival release of 2020—Garcia Live Volume 15. The release features a classic Garcia and Saunders show at the Keystone Korner in San Francisco in the Spring of 1971.

Garcia’s show on May 21st, 1971 featured a rare night without John Kahn on bass and featured keyboardist Merl Saunders, saxophonist Martin Fierro and drummer Bill Vitt. During the second set, Garcia and Saunders with the aid of a soaring sax solo from Fierro covered David Crosby’s “The Wall.”

Thanks to Jerry Garcia’s YouTube channel for the audio track!
