Arizona-based jam all-stars Spafford is making their way across their country. Earlier this week they stopped at The Rex Theater in Pittsburgh, PA.
After a two-song first set (yes, the two songs clocked in at over 1 hour!), Spafford opened the second set with a massive “The Other One” jam. The Grateful Dead classic emerged out of a jam at about the 7:45 mark and then raged for the next 20 minutes.
Spafford bookended the set with another cover—Tear’s for Fear’s “Mad World.” The break-neck tempo dance interpretation of the 80’s ballad was a great set closer.
