Widespread Panic busted out a stellar “Cortez the Killer” with a special sit-in from Jerry Joseph on guitar and vocals back on July 3rd in Oregon. This was the first time WSP covered the Neil Young classic since October 17, 2009 according to Setlist.fm. Could have fooled me!

Technically Gov’t Mule brought WSP out for a Cortez a few years ago at Wanee, but who’s counting 😛

The 13-minute Cortez was the first of two songs that Jerry Joseph sat in at the end of the second set.

Thanks to the WSP Facebook page for providing the awesome pro-footage from this great performance!
